As we are running a course on 6th March, I thought I would make some cakes to show people what they are going to learn. Then it became a study in tilt shift photography. Mr Cakes by Cat discovered this marvellous technique that blurs one edge of the photo. So after some playing around we ended up with a fabulous set of photos. If anyone is interested, the photos were taken using an app on the iphone 4. It seems the need for a separate camera is diminishing! We are going to keep playing with it and see what happens next time.
Oh, and the cakes, I thought they turned out pretty well too and even got blogged at Cupcakes Take the Cake, the biggest and most well known cupcake blog: http://cupcakestakethecake.blogspot.com/2011/02/variety-of-flower-cupcakes.html
Here's hoping that we met the goal of advertising the next course.

Cupcake class
I love teaching people how to decorate cakes. People are always surprised by the professional results they can get if they just have the know how. I have run a couple of "at home" classes but here is a flyer for our first class open to all! Hope someone comes!
Cakey pictures
If you want to see all my cake pictures go to www.facebook.com/cakesbycat.ely or http://www.flickr.com/photos/thecupcakedivine/ (yes, I know it is the wrong name but I haven't got round to reloading all my photos to a new acccount). In the meantime, here is one to keep you going. These were for a 1st birthday and you guessed it, based on a print on my fabulous Cath Kidston purse. More photos to be added soon!
A new blog
Hello, here is the first post on my new blog. I won't repeat the description about me that is already on here but I will direct you to my facebook page at www.facebook.com/cakesbycat.ely where I store most of my photos. You can also find us on twitter as cakesbycat.
